What Product Certification/Validation Programs Are Available for EUC Ecosystem Partners?

VMware offers VMware TAP (Technology Alliance Program) partners the opportunity to join and participate in many EUC (End User Computing) ecosystem partner certification and validation programs. Partners can certify and validate their products with VMware Horizon Enterprise, Horizon Client, Horizon Cloud on Microsoft Azure, or some combination of these. VMware also offers prerelease access, early access, and other special access programs related to Horizon Enterprise, Horizon Client, and Workspace ONE.
Overview of certification, validation, and early access programs and initiatives
The following four kinds of programs or initiatives are currently available:
- Certification programs – Qualified partners are required to certify their partner products with VMware products by successfully executing a VMware-prescribed test suite. Partner products are listed in the VMware Compatibility Guide, confirming joint support. Partners must list their certified products on the VMware Marketplace to make use of the VMware Ready logo in marketing materials.
- Validation programs – Qualified partners are required to self-validate their partner products with VMware products by successfully executing the partner’s own test suite to claim compatibility. Partners are the primary contact for support. Partners must list their validated products on the VMware Marketplace to make use of the Partner Ready logo in marketing materials.
- Restricted-access-only programs, packages, and initiatives – Qualified partners are invited to acquire early access and prerelease assets of specific VMware products, SDKs, and sample code.
- Public access assets – Partners are invited to take advantage of VMware SDKs, APIs, tools, documentation, and other information.
1) Certification Programs
Included in this category are EUC, cross-business-unit, and consolidated certification programs.
EUC Programs
VMware EUC ecosystem partner certification programs enable partners to certify thin client and endpoint partner products with Horizon Client, Horizon Enterprise, or Horizon Cloud on Microsoft Azure, leading to VMware Compatibility Guide listings and a VMware Ready EUC logo, VMware Ready Horizon Cloud logo, or both. Partners must also post on the VMware Marketplace. VMware Compatibility Guide listing confirms joint support.

Cross Business Unit (EUC & CIBG) Graphics Programs
Cross BU (business unit) ecosystem certification programs for EUC and the Cloud Infrastructure Business Group enable partners to validate partner products with Horizon Enterprise and VMware ESXi/vSphere, leading to VMware Compatibility Guide listings and a VMware Ready Platform and Compute logo.
vSGA and Shared PassThrough Program for GPU (Graphical Processing Unit) product partners
GPU partners can certify their GPU drivers and solutions with Horizon Enterprise and ESXi/vSphere.

vDGA Certification for server product partners
vDGA (Virtual Dedicated Graphics Acceleration) certification is an add-on certification in the Server certification.
Server partners can certify their server + GPU combinations and solutions with Horizon Enterprise and ESXi/vSphere.
To participate, server partners must join one of the SDDC (Software Defined Datacenter) programs (Foundation or Integration).

Consolidated certification bundles
There are two consolidated VMware EUC ecosystem programs, consisting of multiple certification packages.
- EUC Foundation Program contains two packages:
- EUC Integration Program contains three packages:
Rapid Desktop/Turnkey Appliances and Proven Storage Certifications for server and storage partners
The Horizon FastTrack package contains Rapid Desktop/Turnkey Appliances certification, Proven Storage certification, and Validated RA (Reference Architecture).
Rapid Desktop/Turnkey Appliances and Proven Storage are EUC ecosystem certification programs that enable partners to certify Turnkey Appliance and Storage partner products with Horizon Enterprise, leading to VMware Compatibility Guide listings and a VMware Ready EUC logo. Partners must post on the VMware Marketplace.

These two certifications will reach EOL (end of life) with Horizon 7, at the end of the Technical Guidance phase, since support is now determined by the interoperability matrix between Horizon Enterprise versions and certified ESXi/vSphere versions.
VCAI and Virtual Volumes (VVols)–Horizon Validations for storage partners
The Horizon Validations package contains VCAI (View Composer array integration) validations and Virtual Volumes (VVols)–Horizon validations for storage partners.
These two validations will reach EOL with Horizon 7, at the end of the Technical Guidance phase, since View Composer reached EOL in Horizon 8.x.
